Hi friends,
My first Blog post from my new home, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Yay! I’ll begin by updating some personal details since lots of ‘new’ has happened in the past few months. I am thrilled to have you along, and promise not to blow up your inbox with blah blah blah salesy pitchy stuff but I do have a small business, HealthyBohemian, along with a couple side hustles, Lifewave and Art, that will need to be shouted from the treehouses on occasion, thank you for indulging me.
Most of you know I moved to Pittsburgh, with little Felix. We both love it here!
I longed for four seasons, history, culture, great eats, an International Airport, educational institutions, music and Art and being a days drive from fun exploration.
My body and soul needed to hug trees, take walks in woods with bees and flowers, critters, creeks and glorious clouds. Oh, my goodness, the clouds in the sky here are often exquisite and magical! The cities’ moniker is, “cloudiest city in America”, one of my reasons for choosing it, this working class steel city of around 320 thousand folks, checked all the wish-list boxes.
The move was hard, as moves are, it was lonely and frustrating at times. My patience was tested as the condo I purchased required several extra weeks of remodeling and my stuff was almost held captive by an angry little Russian man named Illa. Sigh. It was a whip. Girlfriends came to my rescue every few weeks for several months to help unpack and organize. Thank you, ladies, I love each one of you to bits!
Felix and I are now settled into a slower-paced life, in a beautiful dwelling, meeting wonderful folks and exploring this charming new, very friendly city; feels like we have lived here a dozen years. I know (for now) we are home.
The long awaited snowfall came last evening in the form of a thundersnow; this is when a storm produces snow instead of rain. Did you know this was a thing? I did not but it was super cool! Today is beyond cold. I love everything about the cold: Yoga pants, snuggling in front of a fire, soft fluffy blankets, hot teas, soup, overcast skies, the still of an early winter morning, I adore it all, but I truly hate being bone-cold, wet cold. Yikes!
I see how Spring and Summer will both be welcomed and enjoyed, also, winter gear for Dallas is way different than winter gear here in, The Burgh! Must go shopping.
My in-home treatment room is ready (for microdermabrasion, dermaplanes, and facials) on a small landing in my condo. It will be the perfect nook to do faces and sell my skincare. This weekend will be my first face, I have three, total. Super stoked that my hive of unique lovely powerhouse women is steadily growing. My heart is grateful for the new ones who have welcomed me into their lives without any hesitation or reservation and grateful for you all who have supported me throughout my career and entire life.
I truly do have the best peeps!
